As these cars run on electrical energy, the emission of poisonous gas associated with the combustion of fossil fuels, which is the main problem comes with gasoline vehicles, can be prevented. - High performance and low maintenance: Electric vehicles will usually have high performance. - Shorter distance: Electrical cars might not be suitable for long trips because of their shorter range of distance covered. Most electrical cars are only able to cover 60-120 miles per charge, though latest technology can make travelling more distance possible. There are some luxury models also which provides the coverage of almost 300 miles per charge. However, this is really low when compared to gas powered vehicles which will average about 300 miles on a full tank.
- Longer time to recharge: Charging is another concern associated with electrical cars. It can take up to 8 hours for fully charging the battery using a Level 1 or Level 2 charger. Fast charging stations will also take around 30 minutes to charge 80% of the battery. Hence, it is not possible to refuel your electric car by a quick stop at the power stations like gasoline vehicles.
